If you are European, brace yourself that the exhibition is very humble in compared to any European museum's collection.

The gallery is nice and calm to walk around in. Lots of people standing in front of pieces of art work and proceeding to "tilt" their heads a bit.

There were some weird exhibitions like Natalie Brettschneider and the guy with the black paintings that were just simply awful, but it was great to see Emily Carr's and that Chinese artist's work that I don't remember the name of.

I had a great experience in Vancouver Art Gallery, it was my first time there.

Saw the Monet exhibit just before it closed then a quick shuttle through the Emily Carr exhibit (permanent). The former was ecstatically good. Nicely curated and with good informational signage. The latter gave me a deeper appreciation of Carr's work. Very enjoyable though her oeuvre seems much more coldly philosophical than Monet's who seems to let heaven flow from his brush. How did he achieve that truth with such spare treatment? The gallery is surprisingly small (in my opinion).

Recently, the Murakami exhibition was superb and it certainly did wonders to wet my artistic pallet.

I attended Carol Sawyers most prolific Show where she has created Natalie Br...a purely fictional character. Using photography self portraits and short films to create an interdisciplinary artist. Carol is an interdisciplinary artist as she composes and sings and performs and makes photographs and films as well as integrating her so very curious outlook. I think i may even have a photo as I saw these works several times

Never fails to marvel. Four floors to explore and experience many forms of art, either national or international. Have been there 3 times, and have always had a wonderful time. Tuesdays you get to enter by donation, so expect a long line if the day is nice. Perfect choice for rainy days.
