  So, basically, I was told a lie when they thought they might lose the (commission) sale. There is no 50%. discount promo and The Source knew it but acted like it was a done deal. Be wary of this location of The Source and take your business elsewhere. The underhanded tactics they used give this business a bad name.

  I ordered something online and shipped it here. Did not pick it up for about 4 weeks and was never pressured to go pick it up. Person that worked there grabbed my box from the back and proceeded to process my order for check-out. Pretty straight forward experience and would not hesitate to order online to pickup here again. Nothing much to see here at the store though as it is pretty ghetto looking store in a ghetto mall (Kingsgate Mall). This is completely fine with me since I usually know what I need and order online accordingly.

  Signed up for a mobile plan at the Kingsgate Mall location of The Source and was promised a 50% discount for the first three months of service. Setting up the account took at least an hour and a half with the two staff members calling the manager repeatedly to get his help navigating the set up procedure. They tried to sell me the extended warranty for $10 month and I declined. Then one of them handed me the phone and said the manager wants to speak to me. He repeated the sales pitch for the warranty and I said it's optional right? He said yes but blahblah and I told him I'm not interested. That was that and the two hapless staff members again laboured away getting my account set up. After hanging out in the store for 90 minutes or so they finally finished setting everything up. Before I left I confirmed that the first three months will be billed at 1/2 price. Yes, I was assured I just had to call the mobile company to get it activated. So I call the company and, no, they have no such promotion. Further checking by the rep revealed that someone from that location of the The Source had asked the mobile phone provider about the discount and been told it doesn't exist. The time stamp matched with the time I was in the store.
