Worst gym experience ever. I made a big mistake signing up with these guys. Their policies are so misleading, they play with the wording to get you and they start threatening you if you complained about it.

I signed up for the monthly membership, where you have to commit to the first 4 months. I signed up so I could use one specific machine that I liked. Apparently no one was using that machine ever and when I used it I noticed it was fairly loud in the room and made me slightly worried about whether I was disturbing others. However, if they offer that machine it must be because it’s OK to use it. 3 weeks later that machine was mysteriously broken and they needed to get something from Quebec to fix it. A week later it was still broken. Since that was the only machine I used and the facility was not workable I requested a hold on my membership until is fixed. They denied it saying that’s not their policy. I said that paying for something that’s broken is not my policy either.

Great atmosphere, good people, smaller gym facility but never too busy or crowded. Been there a month and a half and I always look forward to working out there. There's always parking and everyone is super polite.

Vancouver’s best! I didn’t go to the gym for YEARS because I had so many bad experiences with pretentious gyms, sign up fees, contracts and equipment I didn’t even know how to use. Not to mention members that spent more time checking each other out than just getting it done. I finally gave Spartacus a try because my friends who were into power lifting told me it was kind of “metal”. A no nonsense gym with all the weights and plates you could ask for. Awesome people who will help you out if you need a spot. The kickboxing classes and martial arts are authentic, tough as hell classes with hard working people that aren’t just taking it post their session on Instagram. Pilates and yoga are great if you’re not a ninja. You won’t even miss the windows because you’ll be working hard and jamming to rock and roll playlists. Free underground parking and lots of veggie eats near by. What more could you ask for? 5 stars!!!

After my third call 3 weeks after the machine went broken they accepted to bring another one to the gym while theirs is fixed. That new one will take a week to arrive. I called after that timeframe and they still haven’t received anything. A week after still the same. I asked them to inform me once they get it or fix the broken one. They never did. I ended up paying the 4 months mandatory membership when I only had the machine working less than 1. I personally think they just wanted to get rid of the machine because it was too loud and didn’t have to courtesy of handling it like a decent business.

I stopped going here after the new owner took over. A had some first hand bad experiences and heard tales of woes from others and canceled my membership a few years ago . However the way the set up the direct bank payments on the contract . I have been paying to this day . I called my bank and they told me what they are doing is not illegal but is in ethical ..... This is my bank talking . The only way I can block the payment is to call the bank every month and ask them to block it . I have talked to the gym several times over the years and they advise me to talk to the bank , who informs me they will keep trying to do it as long as they have my banking info . This is reason enough not to go to this gym . The old owner was very honest and I had stopped and started my membership many times with him . No problem .Now it's just another unethical place living by the code of Donald Trump greedily shoving its face in the trough .

Gym wise, this place has 3rd word country standards. It smells badly, the washroom is always flooded not cleaned, once I had to use the women's wc because our was "under reno", only one sinks is available, no windows. Machines are old and crappy. I regret the day I set foot in that gym.
