  Great place to get some authentic Chinese. Seedy old place with a huge buffet of freshly cooked dishes, some of which I can't identify. For the adventuresome up for a taste treat. $7 gets you two items and noodles and could easily feed 3 people.

  This is what Chinese fast food is about. While it's not the most delicious, its decent enough, with big serving sizes that people from where I come from would have a problem trying to finish off! Complimentary Chinese tea is available from a self-service urn. This is one of most inexpensive (note I didn't use the word "cheapest") eateries in Vancouver, and so comes out among the top for value for money.

  Great food, fast service. Always a busy place and safe to have a meal with your children. I recommend Kent's Kitchen with their wide variety of dishes to chose from. Price is very reasonable and they have good portion sizes

  Super budget dine in or take out. It ain't pretty but the food tastes very good. Dollar value for this place is excellent! Good selection of dishes on offer and constantly being replenished. Remember to take a number from the dispenser or you'll be waiting for a long time!

  I use to go there for lunch back in the 90's, but haven't been there for almost 10 years. I was walking around Chinatown again last week and to my surprised, Kent's kitchen was still there. I figured it would have been gone like most of the shop in that area. The decor is dated (don't think it changed since the 90's)and looks kind of dirty. They say you can tell how good a chinese restaurant is by how many asians are eating there. I notice a lot of asians still eat there. The food was very good, portions were big and the price was under 8 bucks. It actually taste like authentic cantonese style food, not westernize like like other places (*cough* T&T). Probably not worth the drive out from Surrey on a regular bases, but now that I know it's there, I'll definitely be going more often.
