The only obnoxious thing I experienced was a young student group about 20-25 people who were yelling at each other, played tag and were generally very loud. It would be great if they had been told before entering the museum to keep quiet.

There’s several hours worth of exhibits here at least. I personally love the special neon sign collection and the decades of Vancouver exhibit (Vancouver in the 50’s, 60’s etc). Admission wasn’t cheap at $16 for a student, but it’s not expensive either, for the quality of the exhibits. There was plenty to keep you occupied for an afternoon. And great exhibits on Indigenous cities, cultures, and traditions.

The Museum of Vancouver brought me back in time. I grew up in Vancouver in the seventies and eighties and many of the displays and pieces reminded me of those times. The one that I enjoyed the most was the neon sign pavilion. I remember driving or walking by those signs as a boy. Many of those signs now either destroyed or sitting in a museum show how much Vancouver has changed. Many of the historical places and landmarks are now gone replaced with dense condo/apartment developments. This is not the city I knew and loved. I miss the old Vancouver.

Wonderful location, nice views. Staff was helpful and has nice exhibits to keep the kids entertained while they are learning. The domed theater was nice place explore the stars and galaxies. Glad we made this a stop on our visit

A small quirky place with a few rooms showing the history of the city through time. Some of the displays are good, but not enough details. Dont expect too much for the price. Not much people.

Their permanent exhibitions are well-designed, and are very informative and entertaining at the same time. If you ever wondered about the riots in Vancouver, the history of the neon lights or wanted to know more about the first nation settlements that existed before Vancouver, this museum is the right place to get educated.
