Because it's such a small museum, you get to see everything up close! The guides are really knowledgeable and friendly.

A lovely spot on a rainy afternoon. I stumbled on this after many visits and stays in the West End. A buried treasure of historical life at the turn of the last century.

Interesting piece of Victorian-era Vancouver history. Great place for tea after a public reading on Victorians and crime.

Roedde House museum is an interesting peek into middle class life in Vancouver 100 years ago. When I visited, the volunteer docent was friendly and knowledgeable. I was most interested in the old pictures of Vancouver, as well as some of the artifacts connected with prominent figures in Vancouver's history. I suspect that these would hold more interest for people familiar with Vancouver than those visiting the city. That said, the price of admission is modest and would be worthwhile to anyone with an interest in history. Heritage Square, adjacent to the house, is charming and open to the public for free.

Spent an extremely enjoyable afternoon at this little hidden gem in Vancouver. Staff were friendly and polite. Special kudos to Anika (sp?) who showed no signs of impatience to our incessant questions and even though we inadvertently stayed past closing time, she was more than happy to discuss what interested us. Have recommended to friends who will be visiting Vanc' in Spring. Well worth the visit. Thanks to all.
