  This store does not train their staff adequately, often resulting in 20 minute waits in cashier lines (no joke). The staff are friendly enough, and the selection is fine, but management needs to invest more in training to speed up the checkout process.

  Independent Grocer on Davie is a good grocery store. To be expected in a store it's size, the selection isn't as large as some other larger grocery retailers in the area like Safeway. The butcher counter is great and has some awesome prepared meats. Bakery is also good for breads but lacks in some of it's desert selections if you are not a cake person.

  Friendly, helpful staff, lots of fresh fruits and veggies- also pre-cut in ready to eat packs. Very busy high density location. Sells flowers/plants. If hurried, go elsewhere. Cashiers check-outs poorly placed.

  Seems like all the staff there are always really grumpy and it's a crime to even bat a smile in that place. And If you want help finding something expect a huge sigh. This probably goes up to some bad upper management.

  Very busy after work but they are open so late that if you have the flexibility to do some of your grocery shopping later in the evening its a very easy shopping experience.

  This has never been a good grocery store but has recently gotten even worse under new ownership. They have started stocking more PC items and getting rid of other choices. Very little choice and too expensive. Head department down the street to no frills for the same items at cheaper prices, go to kins for your produce and if you need anything fancy just make the walk down Davie to choices. So many grocers closing in the west end lately. Wish this one would follow suit and have something better open.

  The quality and their competitive prices used to make up for that lousy service, but now that Safeway is gone and this place being the only grocery store on Davie street it has went downhill and is a 2 star (at best) market. Only thing really keeping this place alive is their Presidents Choice brand and lack of other stores in the area. Hope another market can come in and bring some better competition!
